2 Years

It has been two years today since my Grandpa Dee passed away. I can't believe that it's been that long. I am so grateful to him and all of the many things he taught me. I'm so thankful that it was so important to him that we kept a close family.

I know that he is in a better place now, but I still miss him everyday. I'm grateful to live close to where he is buried and to be able to go there and visit whenever and on days like this. I was able to go out today and visit his grave and put flowers on it. (Thanks Bec for going with me:)) Love you lots Grandpa! Thank you for teaching me the importance of telling people you love them and telling them often.

Catching Up!!!!

I have decided to give up doing an individual post for my groups of pictures. That's what I've wanted to do, but it just isn't working out right now. Since being released from the Relief Society Presidency I got put in as Activities Chairperson, now in a family ward one might look at that calling as not so much. But...in a singles ward it means you're in charge of Family Home Evening every Monday! It didn't take long for me to get a new calling I got relased from the RS presidency one Sunday and got this calling the next. Well, as many of you know I'm not the most social person you'll ever meet. I tend to have my few close friends and I'm pretty happy just sticking by them. So, this calling is very much out of my element. However, I know that there is a specific reason I have been put here because I know the Lord never puts you anywhere you aren't suppose to be for some reason. Right now I am organizing a Sub for Santa project, and while it has been a lot of work, I am so glad that I'm having the opportunity to do it. It has really opened my eyes up to things I had no idea about, and even though some days I want to pull my hair out I am truly grateful for this callings and the blessings it has already brought into my life. Here are some random things that have been going on in my life

This last weekend I went down to Vegas with Kara, Ashlee, McCail and Lezley. Kara and I went down Friday night and stayed with a friend of hers, stayed up way too late, but still got up and went to the Temple in the morning. Neither one of us had been in any other Temple besides the St. George one, so it was really neat to have a new experience. I am such a planner, and this trip was really spontaneous and good for me. It was fun to hang out with everyone. This is all of us at a place on the strip called Town Center

Town Center again

The weekend before Kacie came down with the kids to do some Christmas shopping. I love this little diva so much. She is talking in sentences now and is seriously just the cutest thing in the only wide world!

Treyson is almost 10 months old now and is in to everything! He is such a cutie though. Here he is getting into my nail polish. This kid is a mover! Watch out when he starts walking!

Payt and I trying sunglasses on at Kohls.

We had a great Thanksgiving weekend! I didn't get to take many pictures, but the Payne family came down. Krystle had a soccer tournament in St. George and we had a lot of fun watching her. Her team only won one game and scored a total of 4 goals, Krystle scored all 4 goals! She is so awesome!

Me, Jess, Tori, my mom, and my aunt Kristine got up at 3:30 in the morning and went Black Friday shopping! Wow was that an experience. I've never done it before and I don't think that I'll be doing again. We were home by 8 and ready for a nap! Jess and Tori came and stayed in St. George with me for the weekend. It was so good to have them here with me they are so busy right now that it's rare that they ever have two days they can actually come stay here. The house was way too quiet when they left. We kept busy hanging out with the Paynes and later going to the movie and playing games with the Chadburns.

Here is Thanksgiving day! Dog pile on me of course! This one wasn't too bad, but it didn't feel good either.

This was the killer. I should learn not to sit on the floor because before I know it I have the entire family of top of me! This one was probably the worst ever I thought I was going to throw up. I had everyone on top of me plus all of their Thanksgiving dinner weight! I just love my family so much :)

Football Saturdays!!

My adopted nephews Cooper and Caleb just got doing playing football for the year. Their games were on Saturdays so I got to watch most of them. Cooper's team won all but like 3 games I think and Caleb's team only lost one game all year and ended up winning the 4th grade championship! I had fun playing with Jayden and Cooper too while Caleb was on the field.
Caleb with his championship trophy!

I was no good at getting actions shots so most of the pictures I have of Caleb are just standing on the field..some photographer huh!

Caleb is such a cutie and so kind hearted and caring that it's funny to see him on the football field all serious and looking so big!

Jayden :)

Bec is going to kill me for this picture, but seriously look at Jayden's face! That's funny I don't care who you are!

Cooper had a game in Mesquite so I went down with Bec and Jayden. Jessica and Austin met us there and Jayden was more than happy to tease Jessica. Those are her truck keys. Jayden has a little crush on Jessica and how could she resist that face :)

Me and Jess

After the game they do some "parent tunnel" thing I thought it was pretty funny so I was taking pictures, and Becca is trying to hide in her jacket from me..sorry Bec we totally know it's you :)

Jayden loved to play with my camera and take funny pictures this is just one of the many I found when I got home.

Cooper loved playing with the camera too :)

~Talent Show??~

Our branch had a regional talent show a couple weeks ago (once again I'm behind!) Sooo Vanessa, Amanda, Kara, Amber,McCail and I decided we would sing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" with voice changers. I'm not sure it was really what you would call a "talent" but hey we showed up right!

~Thanksgiving~

Thanksgiving is almost here! I can hardly believe it!! Where has this year gone? I have so many things and more importantly people in my life to be thankful for. When I started blogging I told myself that I was going to do "Thankful Thursday" every week! Well..that didn't happen! I got the idea from my sister. Thanks Kacie:) At this time of year I am always so humbled to think how truly blessed I am. This last year has been an amazing amount of changes for me. Good changes, but hard changes things that I would have never been able to get through without so many great people in my life. I am so thankful for my Father in Heaven and for the Gospel. It's so crazy to me that I lived 13 years of my life without it. November 15th was the year mark of the day I decided I was going to go back to church. The best decision I ever made. Having the Gospel back in my life and being involved in church is one of my greatest blessing and I am so grateful to all of you who helped me back and set great examples for me. You saved me. This will probably get long but I can't let Thanksgiving past without writing down the things and people I am most thankful for.
Grandma Dianne- Talking to Kacie the other day I asked her how she thought we got so lucky to get the best grandparents in the whole world. I am so thankful for my grandma Dianne and for the man my grandpa Dee was. My grandma is a true example of someone who will do anything to help someone else in need. I always remember her warning me as little girl about gossip and how it's always better to try and find something nice to say or find the good in that person. My grandma supports us in everything we do and is always there to just love us, and I'm so thankful that I got chosen to be her grand daughter.
Mom and Dad-I'm so grateful to have parents who love and took time to raise me right. My mom and dad taught me many things that I carry with me today and am so grateful for. They taught me to be financially responsible. They taught me that when you do something you do it right, or it isn't worth doing. They taught me the value of hard work and how important it is to be on time and when you tell someone you're going to do something, you do it! All those little things that add up to big things in real life. Thanks Mom and Dad! Love ya :)
Kacie-My younger who sister who has been such a great example to me. For the longest time she was the only one in our family active and I can only imagine how hard it was, but she stayed strong and true no matter what. As I went to my first temple wedding on October 30th I cried not so much for my friend I was happy for her, but thinking about my sister in there getting married without any of us there and how hard it must have been. I am so grateful that she is who is and that when I get married she'll be right there with me, something I wasn't able to do for her. And of course because she is now my eternal sister. I'm also thankful that she listens to me complain about everything and that she humors me when I ask her like a hundred times to talk to Payton :) Thanks Kacie :) I am so grateful you're my sister :) Love ya!
Payton and Treyson-I am so thankful for niece and nephew. Payton is such a diva and has such a mind of her own, but she still melts my heart. I miss her so much when I can't see her. It makes my day to hear her say "Hello Nant Ne!" I can't believe Treyson is 9 months old! He is such a cutie and such a busy body now that he can get around on his own. I love his cute little smile. Both of these kids are so special to me and I'm so thankful that my sister let me be a part of their births. Being able to see them both born was an immediate bond. I am so grateful to her and Micah for letting me be a part of it.
Jess and Tori-These two girls are amazing:) Even though I don't get to see them as much as I would like to now that they are older and busy I love the time that I do get with them. I am so grateful that I've got to be a part of their lives. I love being able to see both of them dance and cheer. Once in awhile they are still able to make time for me :) I love hanging out with them!
Becca-My best friend in the whole world. I am so thankful to have someone who I can talk to about anything and everything. Nothing I says suprises her and she is always willing to help me deal with and get through anything I need to. She's been through some really hard times with me and has seen me at my very worst, and loves me still. The Lord defiantly had a hand in bringing her into my life at just the right time. I feel so blessed to have the best friend ever :) Love ya Bec :)
Jen, Melissa, Vanessa, Amanda, Cathy-and all my other wonderful friends. I am so thankful for all of you in my life. You have all helped me to become a better person and I am so grateful for that. Love you all!
My Job- I am so thankful to have a job that I love. I love going to school every day and being able to teach my kids. I am so thankful to be able to go to work and get paid for doing something that I enjoy.

October 30th ='s Wedding Day!

I am really behind with this blogging thing, but it seems I can't ever find the time or the patience to do more than one post at a time. October 30th seemed to be the day to get married! Two of my very good friends Jen and Mary got married that day. Mary got married at two and Jen at four. I didn't get many pictures of Mary's wedding because by the time they were getting out of the temple it was time for me to be running to Jen's wedding. Mary's wedding was the my first ever Temple wedding. It was such an awesome experience to witness. I'm so thankful she let me be a part of it. Jen got married in Cathy's backyard, it was a perfect day and such a beautiful wedding. Both of them were beautiful brides, and I'm so happy for them:) Congratulations Girls :))

Me and Jen! Love her :)

Me, Jen and Cathy two of the greatest friends ever!

~ThRiLlEr~

On October 28th I got to see Thriller for the first time! I'd heard a lot about it, but as long as Tuachan has been doing never got to it! It was awesome and I'm so glad I got to go. As you can see it was probably one of the coldest night we've had in St. George this year, but we all bundled up and had a blast! Thanks Jules for getting us great seats :)

This was two days before Jen got married, so her Maid of Honor came with us and this is her posing for a picture with us. She dressed up for the occasion :)

Julie, Carrie, Jen and Me..Freezing our butts off!!!

So we don't look so hot, but hey we weren't!

~A Short but Sweet Calling~

It seems like as fast as I was put into the Relief Society Presidency I was released! With Jen getting married and Amanda being in for almost 2 years I guess it was time :( The release was a lot harder for me than I thought it would be. I know that change has to happen for us to grow and move on with life, but at the same time I don't think I was really ready. This calling has helped me to grow in so many ways I would have never imagined. I think the most important thing it has taught me is that I am capable of doing anything with the Lord's help. I am so thankful for these three girls and everything they have taught me.
This is us at our I guess official last meeting! At Benjas :)

This is an old picture for the 4th of July, but we are all four in it and I don't have pictures of any other pictures of Amanda and Jana :( Who would have ever guessed with me and how I am with my camera. I am so thankful for Amanda and for the leader and more importantly the friend she has been to me. She's my Utah Jazz buddy! We are both crazy Jazz fans so even though we aren't serving together anymore she's still going to be seeing a lot of me! Sorry Amanda you can't get rid of me so fast :)

Before being called I knew of Jen, but didn't really know her. I am so thankful that we have become so close and such good friends. We are so different in so many ways, but seem to balance each other out. Jen got married yesterday (pictures soon!) I am really happy for her, but it was hard for me to come to the realization that our friendship is going to change! I ♥ you Jen! Thanks for helping me grow and being patient with me :)

~Love This Song~

I know this song is really old but I recently just heard it again and want to make sure I don't lose it again :) (You'll have to turn off my other player at the bottom to listen to it, but trust me it's worth it!)

~Just Some Random Pictures~

Nothing real major or exciting has been happening in my life lately so I figured I would just post some random pictures of some of the little things :)

My Little Chicago Bears Fan! YEAH! GO BEARS! I found this shirt at Old Navy and couldn't resist buying it for her, unfortunately they didn't have one in Treyson's size, so I went against my better judgement and bought him a Raiders shirt since it's Micah's favorite team, but I made Kacie promise she would keep the Bears shirt for whene he gets older! I also bought Payton a shirt that says "Cuter than Most" because lets face it, it's the truth!!!

Payton bugging Treyson! As you can see he is not loving it too much!

Treyson is getting so big, and is so smiley. He is so close to crawling it's hard to believe that he is 8 months old!

She finally did it! Becca finally decided to take the plunge with me and get rid of the higlights and go dark! It still ticks me off that she's older, but doesn't have to deal with the grey I do!

Last weekend I went down to watch Jessica dance at a football game. I love her so much and am so proud of her :)
Kacie and Micah came down to watch Micah's dad play in the Senior Olympics. That night I went with them to a banquet where he got his medal before he got it these seniors performed a talent. I had to video tape it! Watch it! It's worth it :)

Who has the cutest niece and nephew in the world??? Yep Tara Does!!

So I stole these pictures of my sister's blog because I couldn't resist. Seriously they do not get any cuter than these two!
♥ Treyson looks like such a big boy sitting up♥ He is such a cute little smiley baby I just love them to death!

Payton looks so old in this picture it almost makes me sad! I can remember so clearly the day she was born and it seems like it was just yesterday!

♥My two favorite kids ever♥
♥Love Them♥
I love to video tape Payton and ask her to say all the cute things she does so when I get home I can watch it. Silly I know, but I love her that much :) When she talks to me on the phone now she says "Hello Nant Ne" and it cracks me up! I love how her newest thing is "I dunno know" and that she says it just to say it. At the end of the video she is singing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" You may not think it's quite as cute as I do :)

John Stockton

My favorite player of all time and the best point guard to ever play the game of basketball (There is no way to argue this, he is the all time leader in assists and steals and what else better for a point guard to do!)l was inducted in the Basketball Hall of Fame!

This is my favorite Jazz moment of all time. John Stockton sending the Jazz to the NBA Finals. I love when he gets the ball and the Houston broadcaster says "UH OH!"

This is a great John Stockton Tribute

"What Matters Most"

I love this message by President Thomas S. Monson! I just wish I was a little better at remembering it in my own life. It's only like 2 minutes long so take the time to watch it :)

GO BEARS!!!!!!!

I am very excited for football season! Not as excited as I am for basketball season, but I still love it! I've been a Chicago Bears fan for as long as I can remember! I have always loved them. I got it from my Grandma Rhonda, my mom's mom who died when I was 7. She was from Chicago and loved the Bears. I don't remember a lot about her because I was so young, so this is something that even though she isn't here anymore I'm sure we still share :) The Bears are 1-1 but I'm very excited about their win over the Steelers!!!!! And I am so excited that we finally have a decent quarterback! GO CUTLER!!! and GO BEARS!!!!

♥~Happy Birthday Becca~♥

Today is Becca's 31st Birthday :) She is my best friend in the whole wide world and I have no idea what I would do without her! I love that for 6 months and 1 day she gets to be a yr older than me! There are so many reasons I love Becca but here are the top 10!

1. I can talk to her about anything! I never have to fear judgement with her. I can tell her how I really feel.

2. We can be totally honest with each other. Fighting for us is not even an option because I can just tell her exactly how I feel and vice versa we understand each other because we are so much alike.

3. She listens to me talk for hours about the dumbest things randomly stopping me to say "hush" or "oh please!" and of course the famous "WHATEVER!"

4. She doesn't tell me what I want to hear. I know that that sounds kind of weird, but when I really want advice I go to her because I know she'll be honest with me if I'm being a jerk she'll tell me, and if I'm right she'll justify me, but she'll never just say what I want to hear and I love that about her

5. She is a great example to me in so many ways. She is a great mother who puts time and effort into raising her boys. I love her boys and that she lets me be a part of their life too. She had a huge part in me getting to the temple. When I'm not doing all I need to she reminds me how important the little things are, and pushes me to do more and to be better.

6. We are so much alike it's scary! She knows what I'm thinking before I can even say it.
We call it the Bestie Connection!

7.She never gets tired of me sending her my random thoughts through text! (or if she does she never acts like it!) She keeps in contact with me even when she's busy. She does nice little thoughtful things for me when I'm struggling with life.

8. She is always willing to forgive me when I act like me and how I can get. I know I can be a real beast at times, but she puts up with me.

9. I got this quote out of a book she is letting me borrow right now, but it is exactly what she does for me." Most folks figure a true friend is someone who accepts them as they are, but that's dangerous garbage to believe. The kid who works at your local fast food restaurant accepts you for who you are-because he doesn't care anything about you. But a true friend holds you to a higher standard. A true friend brings out the best in you. A best friend will tell you the truth and a wise best friend will include a healthy dose of perspective"

10. Becca is by far one of the busiest people I know, but she is always willing to make time for me when I know she doesn't have it. I know that Heavenly Father played a huge part in her coming into my life. We've joked that He couldn't handle either one of us anymore, so He threw us together. It's amazing how over the last year both of us have changed so much for the better and how we have helped each other to get there.

Happy Birthday Becca! Thanks for being my bestie :) ♥ya lots!
