Thankful Thursday!

I haven't done Thankful Thursday for awhile and when I started this blog I promised myself that this would be a post I would keep up weekly with because it is so important to remind yourself of all the wonderful things you are thankful for. Unfortunately I haven't done a very good job so far. So starting with this week I am going to do better!

I am thankful for Temples. I am so thankful that the Lord has prepared a place for us that we can go to regularly and get even closer to Him. On August 15th I am going to be going through the temple to take out my endowments. I couldn't be more excited! When my sister got married in the temple and I waited outside that day I thought that I would never be able to go in because of decisions I had made. I'm so thankful for the atonement and knowing now how far from the truth that is.

This is our Relief Society Presidency. I love these girls so much and am so thankful for the example they are in my life. They have shown me what it means to be a true leader. The closeness that they have with Heavenly Father strengthens my testimony. They truly care and have a genuine concern about every sister in our branch. From the right is Jana our secretary. Jana is such a sweet person and is always looking for the bright side of a situation. She does a wonderful job making everyone feel welcome and loved. Next to her is Jen the 1st counselor. I love Jen so much! She was become one of my best friends. I love hanging out with her, we can talk for hours about anything and everything. She is so encouraging and I am a better person for being able to serve with and be friends with her. Then, Amanda, the President. Amanda is just awesome she is so close to the spirit and truly just loves everyone! She is always encouraging us to be better and to do a little more. I have grown to be great friends with and love to hang out with her. Oh ya and then me of course as usual I'm the midget of the group!!! Thanks girls :) You have helped me more than you'll ever know!

This is just a random picture of Jen, Amanda, and Me (looking terrible!) after a long day of meeting, but notice we are still smiling:)))

Sin City!!!! (Well not really!)

This last week my mom and dad had a condo down in Vegas, so we all went down and stayed and had a ton of fun! Here is Kacie with Payton, Treyson, and Payton's all time favorite person Sponge Bob! At the adventuredome. She was too short to go on the actual ride, go figure right!

The adventuredome again, Payton waving to me on the horsey!

Cute little Treyson just loving the stroller!

Waiting in line at the Rio Buffett, Payton met a little boyfriend who seemed to be her double, neither one of them could manage to stay out of trouble.

Payton with her friend "Bob!" again

Payton and Treyson in the big Jacuzzi Tub, Payton loved to get in the tub and use "Aunt T's pretties!" Which is my bodywash.

With the fish at Caeasar's Palace

Treyson hanging out in the stroller again!

Payton loved to hide in the shower!

On this trip Payton figured out that my real name is Tara, she has always just called me Aunt T or "nant ne" So to be funny she started calling me Tara, I told her she should keep calling me "nant ne" because it is so dang cute!!! Well she did for the most part, but anytime she wanted to make me laugh she would call me Tara. It's so funny how kids are so young, but so smart at the same time. There is never a dull moment with that child. One night she was suppose to be going to bed and kept getting up, so she gets out of bed with her milk comes into the other room and just nonchantly walks past me and says" Oh hey nant ne!" Maybe you had to be there, but it was so funny! So Kacie puts her back in bed and in about two minutes she is in the little hallway thing that between the two rooms yelling "Nant Ne!" because she thinks she can get away with getting out of bed with me. This is a video of her playing with the same little boy at the Rio Buffet.

4th of July 2009!!!!

So I started off thinking this 4th of July was going to be really boring since I couldn't go out of town because I had to teach Relief Society the next day, but I was wrong! Tori ended up coming and spending the weekend with me, which I loved because I don't get to spend much time with her and Jessica now that they are older. On the morning of the 4th Tori and I went to the park, it was really hot, and not much to do so we just walked around eating our snowcones. Afer that we went clothes shopping with a few of my friends. For dinner, Mary was nice enough to invite us up to her parents house for a barbecue and to play games with her family. We had tons of fun, and they kept us laughing. I'm so thankful for Mary and the wonderful friend she is to me. I didn't get any pictures from the barbecue :( After the barbecue we went and watched fireworks with some friends. Tons of fun!

This is Jen, Me and Tori waiting for the fireworks to start. I love Jen so much she is a great friend and example to me. I love that she comes over and just hangs out with me even when I talk her ear off until all hours of the night when she has to work in the morning :)

Me and Tori! I love this girl soooooo much!

Some of my friends from the branch who are amazing! Jana, Annice, Jen, Me, Janet and Amanda
